Day 2, Letter B

Dear Chloe
I was going to write about how you're my baby girl today. While that is true and while you'll always be my baby Chloe(as you like to tell me), you're really getting to be more big girl than baby anymore. You are becoming very independent as of late. When you're having trouble napping(when you actually nap), you still need me there(the baby in you) but you definitely set up boundaries(the big girl in you). Most times, I am allowed to lay in bed with you, but you need to have your own pillow, your own blanket, or none at all, and you might permit me to hold your hand while you fall asleep(the big girl), but you always want me to sing to you(the baby). And some days, usually in the morning, the pull of your inner baby is strong and you wake up and come crawl into bed with me and snuggle as close as you can and go back to sleep. I, on the other hand, do not. I just hold you a little closer, knowing that all to soon these moments will have to surrender to the big girl as well. I love you baby bug!

Since I did actually write about my baby girl, I'll just let you know that these pictures are of my little baker! We had so much fun making these cookies. I guess it's one of the advantages of having a big girl!

Eating cookie dough! Unhealthy I know, but it's part of the joy!

My mom used to always tell us that real bakers had flour on their nose and then she'd put some on the tip of our nose. This is one of my treasured memories that I want Chloe to have as well!
