Our new year so far!

Where to start...I haven't posted in so long that I almost forget how to put my thoughts in a coherent fashion. Let's start with the cute things. Chloe loves the new kitchen center that she got from "Santa" for Christmas. When I tell her to do something, I often hear, "I can't Mommy, I'm busy 'tooking' supper". She also loves talking on the phone. She had a pretty big first last week. She got to talk to her friend/cousin Camry!
Needles to say, she loved it. They both talked so quietly that they couldn't hear each other, but it was cute nonetheless.

We are officially potty training again. When football season started, she decided she wasn't ready to be potty trained yet, which was ok. I didn't want to push her too hard or deal with potty training a kid who didn't want to be while we were at the games. Now, we decided it's time. This time, we decided to get rid of anything at all diaperish, so that meant pull-ups too. I was very excited to find some kushies training pants for sale. They are wonderful. They're nice and soft, and have a water/pee proof liner on the outside. The outside liner isn't just plastic though so they breath and she doesn't get heat rash on her little bum. I also don't have to worry about my furniture, or that of others when we go out with her! She loves them and is doing really well! Last night she even told me she had to go before we left Walmart, and then even went pee on a regular toilet! She was so proud of herself, and was very excited to get her treat from the 25c machine! She even wakes up dry (more often than not) from her nap and in the morning!

In other news, I have started doing the South Beach Diet again. I saw really good results with this one when I did it 2 years ago. I'm past the first couple really hard days, now it's just a matter of not being too lazy to actually make myself something healthy to eat. Lucky for me, the diet Trevor's trainer at his gym put him on is pretty much the same thing, and I have a toddler who LOVES salad! She will seriously eat it before she eats any of her other food! As long as there's no broccoli! She does not like broccoli and is not afraid to announce the fact whenever she sees it or hears its name mentioned! I am also joining Curves! I am really excited to get at least 1/2 an hour 3 times a week to myself!

Most of my family knows, but some of you others may not, that we are planning on moving back to Saskatoon in mid-April! We are very excited, but a little reserved about leaving some of the things we've grown to love about Winnipeg. We are not looking forward to having to move away from another set of grandparents. We are also not looking forward to having to church hunt again when we move out there. We have found a church that we really enjoy here. If you could already start praying that God would prepare a church family for us, and us for a new church, that would be great! We also have an awesome opportunity, which is the reason for our speedy move! While browsing on-line for places to rent, I found an ad from a lady who runs a home daycare. Her and her boyfriend and little boy have to move to Calgary for 5 months for some job training, and she didn't want to have to close down her daycare and then start from scratch again in the fall. So, hopefully, I will be running her daycare in exchange for rent, utilities, phone, cable, and internet. We are just a little nervous now because I have tried to get a hold of her a couple times and haven't had any luck! If you could also pray that this would work out for us to do this, otherwise we will have to postpone our move until we can save up a safety net for rent, etc. We also want to take advantage of this opportunity to save some money and hopefully build/buy a house in the fall(or following spring if we are building)! We would be able to save a decent down payment if this opportunity pans out! We are also nervous about moving away from Trevor's work. He found a really good company out here to work for, and enjoys the respect that he receives from them. Please pray that he would find the same respect in Saskatoon, and that there would be an abundance of work for him. We would appreciate your prayers in all these matters, as our lives will be very shortly and very quickly turned upside down. Please pray that we would be able to remain focused and balanced.

Really? You're moving to Saskatoon? That's kind of exciting because we live in Saskatchewan too...so I'll "know" a fellow blogger in the same province! :) Anyways, I do hope that all goes really well with all parts of the move...moving can be tough, but I hope it goes SUPER smooth for you guys!

Love the pictures of Chloe on the phone...of course!

I am praying hard that everything works out for your move.
There is a popular saying "When GOd closes a door He opens a window" but I believe that "When God closes a door He opens another one".
Who, but God, knows what the future holds.
May God bless whatever time you have left in Winnipeg. If you move back home you will have wonderful people and a wonderful church to visit whenever you go back for visits.

I know how scary moving can be. As you know, I've moved a few times. As your Mom said, God knows exactly how your lives will change with this move. I will pray that you will be able to give your concerns to Him and that you will be at peace through this whole process.

The thought of moving would scare me, but I know that God is in control of EVERYTHING.

Oh man. I love her hair as much as I love Starbucks. I want to stroke it. (Her hair, not the Starbucks. Although, it is SO good it warrants stroking.)
