The Frenchtastic Five!

The fifth and final member of our family is on the way. We are ecstatic, shocked, blessed and surprisingly calm. Many of you know that it took us a long time to conceive Tristan. I suffered through month after month of disappointment; 21 of them to be exact. Each month I would pray, "please let it happen next time". Now, we have had our socks blessed off! In one month longer than it took us to conceive Tristan, I will have conceived, carried and given birth to two children. Funny how God works things out. :)
So far I have been feeling pretty good. Mostly tired. I think that's to be expected when you're nursing and growing a baby. Yes, kids, it's true. Brestfeeding is not a reliable form of birth control!! I had planned to nurse Tristan longer, but I am happy to say that he had no issues making the switch to formula.
Chloe is very excited to be a big sister again. At first though, she was a little worried. Here is the conversation:

Guess what Chloe! Next summer, just before you start kindergarten, you're going to get a new baby brother or baby sister!

(She pointed at Tristan asleep in his swing) Is he going to die? (She was very worried and had tears in her eyes)

(I held her cheeks) Oh no baby girl! He's not going to die! Mommy has a new baby growing in my tummy! We're going to have two babies at our house!

Oh! I think it will be a baby sister! I already have a brother and I don't need another one of those! (Then she came over, put her hands on my tummy and jumped a little.) Is that its head?!

No. The baby is still way too little to feel its head!

Oh! Well I will sing it a baby sister song then!

The whole thing was very sweet! We are hoping along with Chloe that she gets her baby sister! Since finding out that Tristan definitely wasn't the little girl we were told, we have kind of felt like that second little girl has been missing from our family. This is not to say that we wouldn't be thrilled to have another boy, we're just hoping for a little more pink and a few more tea parties and a little bit smaller baby!!!

I keep forgetting to check here since I seem to hear all the news on facebook.
We are excited for you guys!! Wow! Another baby.
Hope you feel better and breeze through this pregnancy. I'm sure it will go quickly with 2 little ones to chase after.

Congrats! Wow, what a gift! We tried for 2 years for our second. I always wanted three and keep telling myself that if we every have 2 I will not try for the third. I just want it to happen if it's meant too. The trying is way too stressful
