My baby is 3!!!

Where does the time go?! If you were to come to my house today, you might hear me belting out,"Hold back the rushing minutes!" That's truly the song of my heart lately! My little girl is growing up too fast and I'm not too sure how much I like that! I know that's the way life goes and most of the time I'm ok with that. BUT once you get me looking at old pictures and thinking about how much Chloe has already changed, then my heart aches to have her slow down just a little, strike that, A LOT!

I miss having my sweet little baby to rock and snuggle and hold and nurse. I could even go for the diapers at this age because really they weren't that bad. BUT, then I'd miss the I love you Mommy's and the hugs and kisses.
So maybe we could go back to this age where we still got the the snuggles and rocking and the hugs and kisses (albeit slobbery ones)!
But then the diapers were so bad, and I now know the joy that is a potty-trained child, and I don't think I'm willing to give that up.
So maybe we could just rewind to this age. I didn't have the rocking anymore, but I still got plenty of snuggles, lots of hugs and less sloppy kisses and I regularly heard the 3 sweetest words in the world!
Yes, we could go back to two.
But then I'd miss laying in my bed watching Strawberry Shortcake or My Little Pony. And I'd miss arguing over whose boyfriend Daddy is today. And I'd miss being told that I'm the best mommy in the whole world. No, I'm definitely not willing to give that up!!
So I guess I will go into life with a three year old thankful that I still get lots of snuggles, lots of hugs and perfect little kisses, more chances to smile than I know what to do with, and a little friend who often can't sleep because she misses me too much!! I think three is going to be the best age yet!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be!

Very poignant. It makes me miss the days when my boys were three. What a wonderful feeling to know that I was their best friend.

I think every parent misses those times. And when she is 5 or 6 or 10 you will wish she was three again. That is life I guess!
